Pierce Brosnan may be revealing the secret behind why Irish men seem to have such enviable hair.

“I don’t know,” he told Page Six exclusively at the New York premiere of “The Thursday Murder Club” when asked about his theories, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

“It’s all in the hair — old Celtic hair,” he shared, before noting that his father, “Dear Tom… had good hair.”

The “Mamma Mia!” star suggested perhaps “potatoes, butter,” or “Guinness” might be responsible for the lack of hair loss among older Irish gentlemen.

The 72-year-old actor will soon be seen in a charming murder mystery on Netflix alongside Ben Kingsley and Helen Mirren, playing a slightly rough ex-union activist who helps uncover an unsolved murder.

Brosnan said it’s not the first time he’s taken on a grittier role.

“I’ve done rough characters before,” said the former James Bond, before adding that he has been “so embedded in the world of the sophisticated man, slick and elegant… sometimes you box yourself into your own… lie, so to speak!”

Brosnan has earned enthusiastic praise for his performance as a crime boss in the series Mobland, and he’s noticed the buzz.

“I’ve heard it, yes, definitely. You can feel the wave — and celebrate it, and be grateful. It doesn’t happen often!”
