Zoe Kravitz apologizes to Taylor Swift after bathroom destruction
Zoe Kravitz shared that Taylor Swift opened her $25 million home to her and her mother, actress Lisa Bonet, so they had a place to stay during the deadly wildfires in Los Angeles, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
“We ended up staying there for about two weeks,” the actress said on Late Night With Seth Meyers, adding that Swift’s mom’s pet snake, Orpheus, was also there with them.
She described the house as a beautiful 1930s home, “something you want to preserve and cherish.” Although she tried to be a “good guest” and leave the place better than she found it, things went wrong during the final clean-up before leaving.
Lisa Bonet had placed the snake in the upstairs bathroom and closed the door, but Orpheus found a small hole in the ceiling and disappeared into the wall.
Kravitz and Bonet first tried to pull the snake out by its tail, but panic only made things worse, and it slithered in deeper.
At Kravitz’s request, the house manager arrived with a crowbar, and the “operation” ended with the bathroom wall being torn down, tiles removed, and scratches all over the walls.
“We completely destroyed Taylor’s bathroom. There came a moment when I thought, either we destroy the bathroom or accept there’s a snake somewhere in the house,” Kravitz said, adding that she immediately offered to pay for all the damages.
When she called Swift to apologize, the singer already knew about the incident.
“Is this the thing where you nearly lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?” Swift asked.
By the way, Kravitz and Swift have been friends for over a decade.
