Diddy Faces Up to 3 Years for Prostitution Charges
Sean “Diddy” Combs may seek to avoid prison time and instead serve any sentence he receives at his $48.5 million luxury mansion on a private island in Miami.
His lawyers hinted this option is on the table as Diddy prepares to be sentenced in October to up to three years in prison for prostitution charges, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Lead attorney Marc Agnifilo claimed that Diddy wants therapy for anger and substance abuse issues, but complained he cannot get the help he needs in the prison system.
He said it’s a “possibility” they will try to convince the judge to allow Diddy to serve his sentence under house arrest at his luxury home.
This comes just days after a judge ruled that the singer — who has been held in federal custody since his arrest last September — cannot be released on $50 million bail before sentencing.
Diddy was cleared last month of charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking following his high-profile trial in Manhattan federal court. However, he was found guilty of lesser prostitution charges.
