Sarah Michelle Gellar shares comeback news on Instagram
Sarah Michelle Gellar was seen filming the highly anticipated return of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, looking radiant in a short dress as she entered the set.
In a surprising change from the original series, recent photos from the remake’s set in Los Angeles show Gellar (48) wearing a shiny red short dress with long sleeves, pink heels, and carrying a handbag, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Although little is known about the upcoming remake, Buffy (played by Gellar) appears to be either going to or returning from work in the fictional town of Sunnydale.
Gellar first took on the iconic role of Buffy in the original supernatural drama, which aired for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003.
More than 20 years later, and after rumors of a possible revival, Hulu announced in February that it had ordered a pilot episode for a new untitled “Buffy” project, with Gellar set to reprise the vampire slayer role.
The star of “Cruel Intentions” confirmed the news and her return with a surprising Instagram post on February 6.
“So… you might have heard some news this week, but I understand you haven’t heard from me,” she said.
Other photos showed Sarah Michelle Gellar smiling and chatting with crew members while enjoying her coffee and preparing to play the character.
