Tonight, for the first time in Kosovo, global pop music star Shawn Mendes will perform. The MTV Europe Music Awards winner, who has filled iconic venues such as the O2 Arena in London and Madison Square Garden in New York with hundreds of thousands of fans, will appear at Kosovo’s biggest festival, Sunny Hill Festival, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Also performing tonight on the C4 stage is Brazilian DJ Mochakk, known for his funky and expressive style that’s taking over major clubs and festivals worldwide.

Sunny Hill Festival kicked off last night in the village of Bërnicë near Pristina, and for three consecutive nights, it will feature major global and Albanian music stars.

This year’s edition was opened by internationally famous artist Dua Lipa, who expressed joy at being able to create a festival in Kosovo together with her family.

“Now it’s been six years and it feels like it gets better every year,” Dua Lipa said.

After thanking her family, she added:

“Kosovo has charm—let’s show the whole world,” before instantly igniting the crowd with her performance.

Dua Lipa was also joined on stage by her father, Dukagjin Lipa, as the two performed the classic Gjurmët song “Era” together.

The festival continues through Sunday, featuring big international names like: Artssassin, Bookie, Deezy, Sainté, Sienna Spiro, Skream, Sugar Rush, Tommy Gold, TSHA, Mygal B2B Edgar Kerri—bringing together hip-hop, alt-pop, dubstep, and house into a unique festival mix.

Albanian stars also take the stage, including: Loredana, Lyrical Son, MC Kresha, Era Istrefi, Tayna, Kida, Ledri Vula, Adrian Berisha, DJ Caboo, Art Lokaj Band, Bana Zahiti, Blerta Përtace, Hawolf, Lluni, Sahati, Uran B., Yanina, and Zwada, making Sunny Hill Festival 2025 a true celebration of modern international and Albanian music.
