Bulgarian musician Stefan Valdobrev and his band The Usual Suspects have begun work on their new project The Acoustics of Bulgaria at the prehistoric Provadia-Solnitsata site. The location, believed to be over 7,000 years old, was chosen for its unique atmosphere and historical significance, CE Report quotes BTA

Valdobrev said he was inspired by the ancient stone structures and the idea of capturing natural soundscapes from authentic locations. The track The First Things was recorded at the site, with band members performing near ancient walls and inside stone niches.

The recordings are accompanied by a documentary film and supported by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).

Provadia Museum Director Nikolay Hristov welcomed the collaboration, noting it would help raise the profile of the site, which attracts up to 12,000 visitors annually. New developments at the site include wooden walkways, an observation tower, and an interactive dome to showcase ancient salt production.
