China-EU trade continues upward trend
The bilateral trade between China and the European Union (EU) reached a total of $749.3 billion during the period from January through November 2025, marking a 4.6% increase compared to the same timeframe in 2024.
Data obtained by CE Report from the General Administration of Customs of China shows that total trade between the countries in November alone exceeded $69.2 billion.
Over the first eleven months of 2025, the EU imported Chinese goods worth more than $241.3 billion, down 2.1% year-on-year, while its exports to China totaled more than $508 billion, marking an 8.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
In November, the EU imported goods from China worth more than $22 billion and exported goods valued at $47.1 billion.
According to the World Bank’s December 2025 China Economic Update, after a robust rebound of 11.5% in 2024, China’s exports of goods and services are projected to grow by 5.4% in 2025. This growth is expected to slow progressively, with an expansion of 3.2% in 2026 and 1.9% in 2027.
