Forbes Global Properties, the prestigious international real estate network, is opening its doors in Albania through its exclusive representative, Capital Point.

At a special ceremony held at the Palace of Brigades, Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present. In his speech, the Prime Minister said that Albania is now an extremely attractive destination, and the presence of such a network “is very good news for everyone involved in the real estate industry, but it is also very good news for all Albanians, because it means that their properties and assets are gaining increasing value,” CE Report quotes ATA.

Prime Minister Rama emphasized that initially there was some skepticism regarding Forbes Global Properties’ entry into Albania, given the exclusive nature of the network and the high standards it requires.

However, according to him, the presence of executives from the United States and a large delegation is proof of a serious commitment and confidence in the potential offered by Albania.

“I am certain that the best is yet to come, and you know better than I do; otherwise, you would not have come to Albania. And it is true that today Albania is a very attractive destination, and it is very good to know that Forbes Properties shows strong interest in Albania, but it is also good to know that they are not everywhere—they go exactly where they see a new horizon,” Rama stated.

According to him, this represents a major opportunity for economic development and for increasing the value of Albanian citizens’ properties.

“This is very good news for everyone involved in the real estate industry, but it is also very good news for all Albanians, because it means that their properties and assets are gaining increasing value,” the Prime Minister added.

Referring to his recent discussions in Vienna, Prime Minister Rama recalled that he emphasized the importance of viewing the Albanian real estate market as a long-term investment opportunity, particularly in anticipation of the country’s integration into the European Union.

“As I mentioned a few days ago in Vienna, everyone should see real estate in Albania as an extraordinary opportunity and a major investment, because in four to five years we will be part of the European Union, and the history of new members shows that property values double. Many people did not fully understand what I was referring to and focused on the negative side of the message—that things will become more expensive—but the positive part is that every Albanian family will have their own property, their own home, which will be worth much more, in just a few years,” he stressed.

Rama also highlighted that, although there may be concerns about housing affordability in the future, the rise in property value is a positive development for Albanian families, 94% of whom own the homes they live in—a high percentage representing a valuable national asset.

“The question of how we address the need for affordable housing is entirely legitimate, but it does not diminish the extraordinary progress and major transformation we are experiencing regarding real estate value,” he emphasized.
