China bans its major tech companies from buying Nvidia’s AI chips, CE Report quotes ANSA.

According to the Financial Times, the Chinese Cyberspace Administration has told companies, including ByteDance and Alibaba, to stop testing and ordering the RTX Pro 6000D chip, which Nvidia developed specifically for the Chinese market.

The move aims to strengthen China’s semiconductor independence from the United States.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang expressed his disappointment. Speaking from London during the state visit of Donald Trump and the First Lady to the UK, Huang described Nvidia’s business in China as a "roller coaster." Nvidia’s stock dropped 2.74% on Wall Street.
