Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, will visit Bulgaria on July 13–14 for talks aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, the Trade and Economic Affairs Office in Tashkent announced Friday, CE Report quotes BTA

Kudratov will meet with several Bulgarian ministries and institutions, including those responsible for regional development, economy, transport, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Uzbekistan views Bulgaria as a key technology and consultancy partner. Talks will focus on technical assistance, joint production, and expanding trade in sectors such as energy, chemicals, construction, agriculture, food processing, and logistics. Bulgaria is also seen as a potential supplier of farming and food machinery, winemaking and pharmaceutical products.

Tourism and labor mobility are also areas of growing interest, while improved freight links along the Trans-Caspian route are expected to enhance Bulgaria’s logistical role in Central Asia.

The bilateral trade balance has remained favorable for Bulgaria, and plans are underway to hold the 6th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation later this year in Tashkent.
