Moldova Eases Business Rules

The Moldovan government is taking steps to simplify business procedures by cutting red tape and reducing administrative burdens. A draft reform approved by the cabinet today proposes the elimination or modification of over 30 permissive acts, with 52 more to be reviewed or improved, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

According to Viorel Garaz, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the initiative responds to findings that many existing requirements are either excessive or not aligned with EU standards. “Our goal is to create a coherent and efficient legal framework that enhances competitiveness and removes unjustified barriers for entrepreneurs,” he said.

Key changes include shortening approval times, reducing the number of required documents, extending or removing the validity period for certain acts, and eliminating the need for overlapping or unnecessary paperwork.

The draft legislation now moves to parliament for consideration.
