Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis met with EU Commissioner for Financial Services Maria Luisa Albuquerque at the Ministry of National Economy and Finance to discuss the economic outlook in Greece and Europe, focusing on financial sector reforms, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Pierrakakis highlighted Greece’s shift from crisis management to forward-looking fiscal planning, stating, "We are building our fiscal stability not with words, but with measurable results."

Both parties emphasized the importance of advancing Banking Integration and completing the Capital Markets Union as part of the EU’s broader Savings and Investment Union. Pierrakakis confirmed Greece's commitment to these goals, noting they are essential for mobilizing private capital and reducing reliance on non-EU markets.

Commissioner Albuquerque expressed confidence in Greece’s economic trajectory and stressed that with proper policy implementation, the EU has the means to tackle its financial challenges.
