The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) hosted the sixth BG Tourism Forum – Winter 2024/2025 on Friday, bringing together government officials, tourism industry leaders, media, academics, and local authorities to discuss Bulgaria's appeal as a winter tourist destination, CE Report quotes BTA

BTA Director General Kiril Valchev emphasized Bulgaria’s unique offering of “ski, sun, and spa – without borders,” highlighting the country's Schengen accession and opportunities for cross-border tourism with Greece and Romania. Valchev also underscored the richness of Bulgaria’s natural and cultural resources, including its extensive mineral water deposits and climate therapy locations.

Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev presented Bulgaria as a safe and affordable destination, with a focus on high-value experiences such as ski and spa tourism. He highlighted Bulgaria's diversity, blending nature, culture, and history, as its key competitive advantage.

The forum participants proposed new slogans like “A Delight for All the Senses” and “Bulgaria: The Land of the Three S – Ski, Sea, and Spa,” aiming to position Bulgaria as a year-round tourist destination. Local mayors and business leaders emphasized the need for improved infrastructure, better advertising, and collaborative efforts to unify Bulgaria’s tourism message.

The next tourism forum will be held on the Black Sea coast in June 2024, continuing efforts to promote Bulgaria’s diverse and dynamic tourism offerings.
