Greece's Arnaia showcases wild mushroom delights
People took part in a mushroom safari in a forested area of Cholomontas in the Municipality of Aristotle, Chalkidiki, Greece.
Arnaia, Chalkidiki, aims to become an attractive and “tasty” destination for mushroom enthusiasts, offering a visitable wild mushroom cultivation area and incorporating mushrooms, through various recipes, into the menus of local restaurants and cafés, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
The mushrooms are collected either from greenhouses, from semi-natural cultivation areas with minimal interventions, or from forested areas where they grow by the hundreds, while a specially trained dog Raoul uncovers truffles.
The familiarization trip (fam trip) organized by the Municipality of Aristotle included both a mushroom safari and a gastronomic tour of Arnaia’s shops that use mushrooms as a key ingredient.
As reported by CE Report, a significant earthquake hit Greece.
