Skopje Airport offers Europe’s easiest travel experience
At a ceremony as part of the annual ACI World Airport Experience Summit in Guangzhou (PR China), Skopje International Airport has received the trophy representing the prestigious Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award for 2024, as the "Easiest Airport Journey in Europe".
ACI awards Skopje International Airport with the ASQ award, which is a global benchmark for airport service quality, for the tenth time. The ASQ award is a recognition for TAV Macedonia from the passengers for the quality of Skopje Airport services and a confirmation that airport staff dedication and teamwork show results, CE Report quotes MIA.
"We are receiving the ASQ Award from ACI World ten times now. It is more than an honor - it is confirmation that perseverance, dedication and love for our work bring results. This recognition is for the entire airport team and for all passengers who place their trust in us every day. Our work continues – to create an airport that connects, inspires and sets new standards in the quality of airport services and care for people. This is an encouragement for us, to be even better in the future," said Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia General Manager.
The ASQ award reflects the opinions of passengers. It is awarded based on surveys conducted among departing passengers. So far, for 2012, 2015, 2013 and 2018 Skopje International Airport received the ASQ award - Best Airport in Europe in the size up to 2 million passengers, while for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 the airport received the ASQ award but in the size 2 to 5 million passengers per year, based on the increase in the number of passengers that automatically allowed Skopje Airport to compete with that group of airports in Europe region.
Compared to other programs in the aviation industry, the Airport Service Quality Program (ASQ program) is the world's leading program for measuring airport customer experience and creating benchmarks and is based on live research, through surveys collected at the airport – directly from passengers – that assess their satisfaction from the airport services on the day of travel.
