For some time now, tourism in Tropoja, Albania has not had a seasonal division, turning almost into a year-round one, but of course summer carries the main weight of the influx of tourists to the tourist areas. In this context, the Municipality of Tropoja, in close cooperation with tourist operators, has worked to have the best possible season.

Aranit Imeraj, head of the tourism sector at the Municipality of Tropoja, says that an even better season than last year is expected, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

"Measures have been taken by the Municipality of Tropoja to clean tourist roads, maintain flower gardens, and create parking spaces. All measures have been taken to ensure that the tourist season goes as smoothly as possible," said Imeraj.

The flows are from all countries of the world, but Western Europe and some of the Eastern countries bear the main weight.

"We have mainly from Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Norway, so from all over Europe. They have also come from America to visit," he said.

For Tropoja, there is no longer just one destination, as the Valbona Valley once was, but the geography of tourist destinations has spread in all directions, from Valbona, to Nikaj-Mërtur, Fierzë, Llugaj, the Koman Valley, and others, RTSH reports.

"It has also spread to places like Nikaj-Mërtur, which also has plans to develop that area, as it is a very good tourist area. We also have the Bjeshkë area, where guesthouses have been built. They are very good mountains that have lakes and pastures," says the head of the Tourism sector in Tropoja.

Around 250 thousand tourists is the approximate figure for last season in Tropoja, and this figure is expected to increase during 2025.
