The Republic of Moldova and China are strengthening their cooperation in the field of education, offering new opportunities for pupils, students, teachers, and educational institutions in both countries.

An agreement to this effect was signed in Beijing by Minister Dan Perciun, who was on an official visit to China, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

The agreement provides for cooperation in teaching the Chinese language in general education institutions in the Republic of Moldova. The Chinese side will support the development of curricula and educational resources for teaching Chinese, as well as the training of teachers through dedicated programs.

At the same time, higher education institutions in Moldova will be able to create specialized programs in Chinese language studies, with support from academic institutions in China. The document also provides scholarships for bachelor’s and master’s studies in teaching Chinese as an international language, as well as consideration of recognizing the international CTCSOL certificate.

Moldova will also support the organization of the HSK Chinese language proficiency exam, and the two sides will cooperate to ensure the quality of language instruction and to promote cultural and academic exchanges. These include the participation of Moldovan students in the “Chinese Bridge” competition and in summer and winter camps in China.

Minister Dan Perciun reiterated Moldova’s interest in intensifying the partnership, particularly in higher education, through exchanges of experience, joint initiatives, and educational projects in fields such as agriculture, information technology, and other strategic areas. He also noted that one of the Ministry’s priorities is internationalization, and that Moldova is open to offering Chinese students opportunities to study in its higher education institutions.
