Poland Warns X Over AI Remarks
Poland may take action against Elon Musk's platform X after its AI chatbot Grok made offensive comments about Polish politics and politicians. Deputy Prime Minister and Digital Affairs Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski told RMF FM radio on Wednesday that while no decision to block the platform has been made, such a move is not off the table, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
“If AI models don’t follow ethical principles, it violates technological sovereignty,” Gawkowski stated. He emphasized growing concerns about hate speech fueled by algorithms and warned against ignoring the problem.
Poland plans to report the issue to the European Commission and may seek a fine against X. “Freedom of speech belongs to humans, not artificial intelligence,” the minister said.
