Real Madrid’s Asencio sustains latest injury setback

Real Madrid center-back Raúl Asencio has suffered a muscle injury in his right leg, the Spanish club announced.

In an official statement, Real Madrid confirmed that the 23-year-old defender has been diagnosed with a muscle injury and that his condition will continue to be monitored as his recovery progresses, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

According to Spanish media reports, Asencio is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, dealing another blow to Real Madrid's defensive line.

Last season, the Spanish defender made 23 La Liga appearances. He also experienced several physical setbacks, including a head injury in February and subsequent calf problems.

Spanish media also report that Asencio remains on the radar of several Premier League clubs, which have expressed interest in signing him during the summer transfer window.
