Bulgaria defeats Türkiye to win Balkan U18 volleyball title
Bulgaria's national under-18 men's volleyball team became Balkan champions after defeating Türkiye 3-1 (25:21, 19:25, 25:15, 25:14) in the final played in Podgorica, Montenegro.
The team fully deserved its success, recording five victories in five matches – three in the group stage against Moldova, Greece and Serbia, before defeating hosts Montenegro 3-1 in the semi-finals, CE Report quotes BTA.
Pavel Dzhenev was named the Most Valuable Player of the Balkan Championship. Bulgaria captain Nikola Velikov also received an individual award as Best Setter.
