Lamine Yamal returns from injury at World Cup

Lamine Yamal has reacted following Spain's draw with Cape Verde at the FIFA World Cup, where the Barcelona star returned from injury.

He played only the final 19 minutes of the match, and although the game ended in disappointment for Spain, Yamal remained calm and optimistic, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

"The first World Cup match and we add one point. We know this is a long competition and that the goal is still far away, but we will continue working and everything will go as we hope, without any doubt about that. I want to thank God for allowing me to play again after my injury, as well as my family, who were always by my side, supporting me and accompanying me every step of the way," he wrote on Instagram.

Spain and Yamal will now turn their attention to Sunday's clash against Saudi Arabia national football team.

Saudi Arabia opened their tournament with a draw against Uruguay national football team, meaning that all four teams in Group H have one point each after the opening round of matches.
