Serena Williams marks successful comeback at Queen’s tournament
American tennis player Serena Williams made a successful return to the tennis court.
She played her first match this afternoon since the 2022 US Open, CE Report quotes MIA.
Serena Williams, partnering with Canada’s Victoria Mboko in the doubles draw, defeated the American duo Nicole Melichar-Martinez and New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe in the first round of the Queen’s tournament in straight sets, 2–0 (7–6(2), 6–2).
Despite a four-year break, Serena reminded fans in this match of the days when she dominated women’s tennis.
At times, she delivered serves reaching speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour and produced winning shots in her signature style.
