Guardiola urges Haaland to halt Real Madrid transfer talks
Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City F.C., has reportedly asked his striker Erling Haaland to stop communicating with representatives of Real Madrid CF regarding a potential transfer to the Spanish club, Spanish media reported.
According to the same sources, Guardiola and the club’s management are concerned that the constant transfer speculation surrounding Haaland’s possible move to Real Madrid could negatively affect the Norwegian striker during the crucial phase of the season, CE Report quotes MIA.
As reported by El Nacional, the situation has reached a critical point and Guardiola feels the need to protect the dressing room from external distractions at a time when the Premier League title race is entering its final stage.
Real Madrid has been interested in Haaland’s services for a long time, and club president Florentino Pérez is reportedly ready to explore every possibility to bring the striker to Madrid this summer, especially if the Norwegian international expresses a desire to transfer.
