Arsenal football star out of Norway’s October fixtures
Martin Ødegaard of Arsenal has left the Norway national team due to a knee ligament injury, CE Report quotes Kosova Press
The midfielder suffered the problem during his team’s 2–0 Premier League victory over West Ham United on Saturday. Although he initially tried to continue, he was eventually substituted after 30 minutes by Martin Zubimendi.
The 26-year-old will miss Norway’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Israel on Saturday, as well as the friendly match against New Zealand on October 14.
In a statement, Arsenal confirmed that Ødegaard had sustained a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury in his left knee.
“Martin will continue to be assessed and treated by our medical team during the international break, with the aim of returning to action as soon as possible,” the club said.
Ødegaard’s season has already been affected by multiple injuries — he injured his shoulder against Leeds United in August and re-aggravated the same issue during the match against Nottingham Forest last month.
