Kylian Mbappe Hospitalized

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe is in hospital, the Madrid club announced today, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Al-Hilal in the first match of the Club World Cup.

The Madrid club announced that Mbappe has been diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis - an inflammation of the stomach and intestines accompanied by vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain, which can be caused by many types of viruses, but the most common are the highly contagious rotavirus, the Norwalk virus and several serotypes of adenovirus.

The main treatment for gastroenteritis is adequate fluid intake, and in mild or moderate cases this is achieved with oral rehydration solution, while more severe cases require intravenous administration.

Mbappe will not be able to train with his teammates until he is fully healthy.
