Bosnia’s Naša Stranka secures first direct mandate in Tuzla Canton

Naša Stranka (NS) President Sabina Ćudić said tonight, following the release of preliminary results from the General Elections held in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that for the first time since its establishment, the party had won a direct mandate for the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tuzla Canton and doubled its results in the Canton Assembly.

“Unfortunately, the situation is not the same in Sarajevo Canton. Naša Stranka has received a message and criticism from voters, but also at the state level, where we have recorded a decline in the number of seats,” Ćudić said, addressing supporters from the party’s election headquarters.

As she added, what is absolutely clear is that citizens, particularly in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, voted for a change of government at virtually all levels, CE Report quotes FENA.

“I am sorry that we cannot say the same about the situation in Republika Srpska. As for the results of the Troika and the current authorities, it is clear that we have the possibility of forming new majorities at different levels of government, from Sarajevo Canton to the Federation Government,” Ćudić said.
