Vjosa Osmani welcomes future partnership with US
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, praised the role of Kosovo in helping end conflicts, in a letter of appreciation sent to former president Vjosa Osmani on the occasion of the conclusion of her mandate.
In the letter dated April 8, which Osmani published on Tuesday, Trump emphasized that Kosovo has played an important role in initiatives for peace and stability.
“We have achieved a great deal together in a short period of time—especially our cooperation within the Peace Board. Kosovo’s participation in this promising new initiative will play an extraordinary role in ending conflicts around the world, while promoting freedom and prosperity for both our peoples,” the letter states.
Through the letter, Trump also praised Osmani’s role, describing her leadership as courageous and decisive in serving the citizens of Kosovo.
Osmani welcomed the continuation of cooperation in the coming years.
“I thank President Trump for the letter sent at the end of my mandate, which I received last night, and for his appreciation of our work. As emphasized in the letter, we look forward to continuing cooperation in the years ahead,” she wrote on Facebook.
Trump thanked Osmani for close cooperation during her term, highlighting Kosovo’s involvement in efforts to end conflicts and promote freedom and well-being.
