Serbian police foil suspected plan targeting state leadership

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, the Criminal Police Directorate – Service for Combating Crime, and police officers of the Police Administration in Kraljevo, in cooperation with members of the Security Information Agency (BIA), arrested D.R. (1975) and M.R. (1983), both from Kraljevo.

They are suspected of acting as co-perpetrators in preparing acts against the constitutional order and security of Serbia, in connection with the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order, CE Report informs via the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia.

They are suspected of conspiring between December 2025 and February 2026 to violently change Serbia’s constitutional order and overthrow its highest state authorities.

The alleged plan included procuring weapons and carrying out attacks against the President of Serbia and his family, as well as against police officers.

The suspects will be detained for up to 48 hours and, along with a criminal complaint, will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kraljevo.
