Police arrest Serbian man over migrant smuggling case
Police officers have detained a Serbian national under suspicion of migrant smuggling after finding five persons from Egypt and one from Palestine in his vehicle.
The police detained a 30-year-old Serbian national at the Gevgelija-Skopje motorway after inspecting his vehicle and finding six migrants, five of whom from Egypt and one from Pakistan, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
The migrants have been transferred to the Gevgelija-based reception-transit center for further processing, CE Report quotes MIA.
Investigation in the case is underway.
