Trump targets Harvard University over “woke” policies
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his administration will seek $1 billion in damages from Harvard University, after the New York Times reported that the institution had obtained certain concessions as part of ongoing negotiations with the government to reach a settlement.
Several U.S. media outlets reported the news, CE Report quotes ANSA.
“We are now asking for damages of one billion dollars and we no longer want anything to do, in the future, with Harvard University,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth.
Trump officials have accused Harvard and other universities of promoting so-called “woke” ideology while failing to adequately protect Jewish students during pro-Palestinian protests, filing lawsuits and demanding what they describe as excessive compensation.
