President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready for a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin to resolve the most sensitive issues of the peace plan – territories and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, however Russia remains the key obstacle to the peace process.

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated this in an interview with European Pravda, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that Ukraine expects the signing of a 20-point peace plan, provided it is agreed upon, as the most sensitive issues remain unresolved - territories and the ZNPP.

"It is precisely to resolve these issues that the president is ready to meet with Putin and discuss them. However, Russia continues to remain an obstacle in the peace process," Sybiha said.

In response to a question about who holds the peace plan and what the status of this document will be, he explained that the 20-point framework is currently a bilateral document to be signed by the United States and Ukraine.

"And with Russia – it is to be signed by the United States. As of now, this is the structure being discussed, but negotiations are still ongoing; it is a process. At the same time, the European side is with us, it is present in the peace process and in the agreements on security guarantees," he noted.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not want to end the war, but Russia's army and economy are very tired.
