Greta Thunberg arrested at pro-Palestinian protest in London
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was arrested today in London by British police while taking part in a pro-Palestinian demonstration.
The news was announced by the organizers of the protest, which was held in solidarity with eight detainees from the group Palestine Action, CE Report quotes ANSA.
The detainees have been on an open-ended hunger strike for more than 50 days to protest their legal and prison conditions in the United Kingdom, where they have been held in pre-trial detention for months.
As reported by CE Report, their detention follows the highly controversial decision by the government of Keir Starmer to ban the organization on terrorism-related grounds.
