The Justice Department has backtracked after removing and then republishing a photo linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Following criticism from Democrats and from victims of Epstein, the department announced that it had restored a photograph of Donald Trump that had previously been taken down. The image shows a desk drawer containing several photographs, including one depicting Trump alongside Ghislaine Maxwell and other individuals, CE Report quotes ANSA.

As reported by CE Report, the photo was originally released on Friday and then disappeared from the Justice Department’s website on Sunday. In a statement posted on X, the department said the temporary removal was carried out to determine whether additional redactions were needed to protect the victims involved.
