Netanyahu Hearings Cancelled
The Jerusalem District Court has cancelled this week’s corruption trial hearings for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a closed-door request reportedly tied to national security concerns. Intelligence chief Shlomi Binder and Mossad Director David Barnea attended the session, where judges cited "substantial new information" as grounds for halting testimony scheduled for June 30 and July 2, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
Netanyahu had sought a two-week delay, but the attorney general opposed the move. The court’s decision also follows recent calls by former U.S. President Donald Trump to cancel the trial, which he called a “witch hunt.”
Netanyahu is charged with bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in Cases 1000, 2000, and 4000—linked to alleged gifts, media manipulation, and regulatory favors. He denies wrongdoing. Separately, the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
