
Zelensky Thanks Poland for Ongoing Support Since Invasion's Start
The main topics of the meeting of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda in Vilnius included bilateral relations, pressure on Russia, and economic projects.
The head of the Ukrainian state reported this on Telegram, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
"I met with President of Poland Andrzej Duda. We talked about bilateral relations, diplomatic work, and the importance of pressure on Russia to bring a just peace closer. We also have mutually beneficial economic projects. I hope for their successful implementation," Zelensky said.
He stressed that Ukraine appreciates the support from the Polish people and Andrzej personally from the very onset of the full-scale invasion. "Poland's assistance is very important," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
As reported earlier, today President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Karol Nawrocki on his victory in the Polish presidential election.
Head of the Institute of National Remembrance Karol Nawrotski, representative of the PiS party won the Polish election with 50.89% of the vote, beating his rival, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, by 1.78%.
