NHS upgrade a central pillar of the government's policy, Marinakis says

The overall upgrade of the National Health System is a central pillar of the government's policy, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said on Monday during a press briefing, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

As Alternate Health Minister Irini Agapidaki emphasised, "primary health care is entering a new era, as for the first time we undertake such important interventions in the country's health centres. Our goal is to ensure quality health services for all citizens, through modern, energetically upgraded facilities," he said, while adding that contracts worth 11.7 million euros were signed for the energy upgrade and renovation of nine health centres.
