PM Mitsotakis: Reconstruction & development of Central and Northern Evros key gov't priority

The plan to develop the rest of Evros besides Alexandroupolis reflects the region's potential, its role as the simultaneous border of Greece and the European Union, and the strategic trade position in trade and in the reconstruction of Ukraine once the war is over, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in Orestiada on Thursday, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

A series of 19 new measures was presented by ministers to support Evros in the years 2025-2027 at a presentation on the government's Strategic Plan for Evros. The new initiatives will supplement the Development Plan for Evros and the Support and Restoration Plan being implemented after the catastrophic fire of 2023, as well as the Evros Meta project and report plan. Until 2030, the area will benefit with a total of 2.83 billion euros.
