EU, North Macedonia Call for Stability Amid Middle East Tensions

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held Tuesday a phone call with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, CE Report quotes MIA.

High Representative Kallas reaffirmed ongoing support for the Republic of North Macedonia's European integration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

Minister Muchunski reaffirmed the country's commitment to European values ​​- the rule of law, dialogue and good neighbourly cooperation - as the foundations of the European Union accession process.

Talks also tackled regional connectivity, with Mucunski underlining support for Corridor 8 as a strategic priority for the region's infrastructure integration.

Mucunski and Kallas also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, highlighting the need to respect international law and avoid further escalation, reads the press release.
