The official emphasized that nurses are the first and closest support for patients, staying by their side not only through their profession, but also through their humanity.
“In hospitals, polyclinics, medical centers or in villages where sometimes you are the first and closest support for people, you are the ones who stay close to the patient not only through your profession, but also through your humanity,” the Prime Minister said.
Alexandru Munteanu stressed that the nursing profession is not easy and that the responsibility is enormous, expressing his respect and gratitude to the employees who have chosen this path.
“I know this is not an easy profession. The pressure is high, the responsibility is enormous, and recognition does not always come when you deserve it. I respect you for the professionalism with which you perform your duties and for having chosen a profession in which caring for others comes before personal comfort. Happy Nurses Day to all nurses!” concluded Alexandru Munteanu.
International Nurses Day is being marked today around the world. Approximately 19,000 nurses work in the healthcare system of the Republic of Moldova.
