A major multinational corporation is expected to purchase electricity from the Alcazar Energy wind farm in Shtip, according to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski at Thursday's Q&A session in Parliament, CE Report quotes MIA.

Asked about the name of the industrial giant, Mickoski told lawmakers it would be revealed in a month.

"I will leave it to the investing company to announce it by the end of August. They are in the final stage of talks. It is a major brand, one of the world's top three in its industry, and it will be using electrical power from the Alcazar Energy wind park, made of Macedonian wind," he said.

The prime minister also announced eight new investments by the end of 2025, citing information he had received from Free Zones Directorate head Goce Dimovski.

"I expect the wave of investments to increase after we end our trade negotiations with the US," Mickoski said.

He also said his government had improved the business climate for foreign investors.

"They can see the climate and the treatment have changed and are much more different now. We want to help and we extend a hand," he said, adding that the government was trying to attract new investments from the pharmaceutical and the stent-making industries.

According to Mickoski, the country should also get ready to welcome weapons makers, which would "dramatically positively influence our GDP," he said.
