Kosovo A Power Unit Back After Successful Overhaul

The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has announced that after intensive and uninterrupted work by the relevant teams of "TC Kosovo A", unit A-4 has returned to regular operation, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

'This unit was out of production on 14.04.2025, at around 08:11, due to a leak in the boiler. During the outage, all technical deficiencies were successfully eliminated, including those in the cooling tower and other parts of the technological equipment necessary to increase the safety of operation of this unit,'' the announcement issued by KEK states.

According to KEK, unit A-4 had operated continuously for 68 consecutive days, demonstrating high stability and efficiency in production.

"According to planning, preparations for the start-up of the unit began last night on 21.04.2025 at around 18:55, while synchronization with the grid was achieved at 23:30. Currently, the unit is in a stable state and operates at regular operating parameters. KEK, through its continuous commitment and dedication, is proving that it remains a key factor in the stability of the energy sector in the country," the announcement concludes.
