PETA slams Sabrina Carpenter over live bird during performance
Sabrina Carpenter faced heavy criticism from animal rights organization PETA for having a live bird during her performance at the Grammy Awards.
The famous singer took the stage at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night, performing her song “Manchild” on an elaborate set designed to resemble an airport, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
During the performance, she pulled a white dove out of a magician’s hat, and at the end of her act, she held the bird in her hand while looking at the audience.
Representatives of the organization issued a statement condemning the singer’s action.
“Did Sabrina Carpenter really bring a bird on stage in 2026?! The ‘Manchild’ performer is acting like a child. Leave the animals out of the GRAMMYs,” PETA representatives wrote on social media, accompanying the post with a photo of the moment.
