Deflation Hits Supermarkets: Prices Drop for 4th Consecutive Month

Negative inflation is recorded in supermarkets in August, for the fourth consecutive month, according to a survey by the Consumer Goods Retail Research Institute (IELKA). The prices of products in supermarkets are recorded to have decreased by an average of 1.08 percent compared to August 2023, while 14 of the 23 categories of supermarket products recorded a decrease in prices, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
