Five joint research projects involving universities in Albania and Türkiye have been selected for funding under the Albania–Türkiye Bilateral Call 2026–2028, giving fresh impetus to cooperation in scientific research and innovation.
Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro said the projects had been selected by the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI) and Türkiye’s Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBİTAK), CE Report quotes ATA.
The projects will create opportunities for joint research, the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and the strengthening of the capacities of researchers and academic institutions in both countries.
According to Kumbaro, through these partnerships, Albania is expanding its international links in scientific research and building new bridges of cooperation with the Turkish scientific community.
Albania–Türkiye cooperation also aims to support the participation of Albanian institutions in international research networks and the European Research Area, while promoting academic exchange and the development of innovation.
