Ukraine Defense Minister postpones European visits as Russian attacks intensify

Defense Minister of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara has postponed visits to Germany and Norway scheduled for this week due to an increase in Russian attacks on Ukraine, which requires immediate attention and the acceleration of all processes aimed at countering the enemy.

This was said in an article shared from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“The Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara has postponed visits to Germany and Norway that were scheduled for this week due to the situation in Ukraine and the increase in Russian attacks. This requires immediate attention and the acceleration of all processes aimed at countering the enemy. Talks with partners will be held in other formats, and we thank them for their support — new packages and decisions for Ukraine are being prepared,” the ministry stressed.

As previouslty reported, Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara, on September 22, discussed with European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius ways to cover Ukraine’s defense budget shortfall for 2026 and finance its needs through 2027.
