Zelensky vows response to Russian attacks on civilians

War in Ukraine

Ukraine will respond appropriately to Russia’s attacks on civilian targets and will do so in a way that weakens the Russian state apparatus and its ability to continue the war.

President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement during a video address on Telegram, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“Today there were very cynical Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro. In Zaporizhzhia, it was essentially a hunt for civilian targets and ordinary vehicles. The Russians are attacking life itself with strikes from FPV drones and other types of drones. There was a strike on a regular minibus, and one of the strikes hit near a city bus. Unfortunately, there are fatalities. Many are wounded. There was also a brutal, utterly senseless Russian strike on Dnipro. It targeted an ordinary civilian manufacturing facility. People were killed. More than two dozen people were wounded,” he said.

The president also noted that Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy regions were hit by Russian strikes, and expressed his condolences to all those who lost family members and loved ones as a result of these attacks.

“Russia continues its terrorist war against Ukraine and against Ukrainians. Of course, we will respond to Russia in a fully justified manner to all these strikes. And we are doing so in a way that primarily inflicts damage on the Russian state apparatus and undermines Russia’s ability to prolong the war,” the head of state concluded.

As reported, the Russian army attacked Dnipro, with a strike on an industrial facility confirmed. Six people were killed as a result of the Russian missile strike, and 29 were wounded.
