Zelensky Announces $2B raised for U.S. weapons purchases
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine’s NATO PURL fund, which is used to purchase weapons from the United States, has already surpassed $2 billion.
He made the statement during joint briefing with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
“We already have over $2 billion in the PURL fund for purchasing weapons from the United States. We also expect this initiative to continue. This is the first program that has started following the resumption of U.S. military assistance,” Zelensky said.
