Progress in Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks

War in Ukraine

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan hailed the “constructive atmosphere” of the second round of Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul on Monday. The parties built on previous agreements, reached an expanded humanitarian exchange, and shared ceasefire memorandums. They also agreed to continue technical-level work and explore a leaders' summit. Both sides agreed to swap all seriously wounded and sick prisoners, as well as prisoners of war under 25. The talks lasted over an hour and followed the largest prisoner swap in May. Fidan praised the result-oriented approach and thanked both sides for their trust in Türkiye, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
