North Macedonia reports steady growth in international tourism
In November 2025, North Macedonia recorded 77,570 tourists and 146,605 overnight stays.
Domestic tourists made up 25.7 percent of the total, while foreign tourists accounted for 74.3 percent, CE Report quotes MIA.
According to the State Statistical Office, most foreign tourists in November came from Turkey (12,401), followed by Germany (11,812), Serbia (3,793) and Greece (3,506).
The number of nights spent in November 2025 was 146,605, of which 33.9% were realised by domestic and the other 66.1% by foreign tourists.
In the period January - November 2025, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 6.0%: the number of domestic tourists decreased by 2.5%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 10.3%.
In the period January - November 2025, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent increased by 0.8%: the number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 4.3%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 6.9%.
