Messi reaches 900th career goal with stunning strike
Lionel Messi scored his 900th career goal, finding the net for Inter Miami against Nashville in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League round of 16.
The 38-year-old opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a low shot in the knockout match of the regional club competition, CE Report quotes ANSA.
With this goal, “La Pulce” has now scored 81 goals for Miami since joining Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2023.
The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner had previously scored 672 goals for Barcelona, 32 for Paris Saint-Germain, and 115 for the Argentina national team. Messi’s 900th goal comes 21 years after his first professional goal, scored for Barça in a 2–0 win against Albacete in 2005.
